Understanding GLP-1s in the context of disordered eating and eating disorders | Webinar
March 4 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Understanding GLP-1 and Eating Disorders Webinar
This GLP-1 and eating disorders webinar explores how GLP-1 receptor agonists interact with appetite, eating behaviours, and eating disorder treatment.
GLP-1 medications are increasingly prescribed for type 2 diabetes and weight management. As a result, health and fitness professionals are seeing more clients who use these medications. However, the relationship between GLP-1s and disordered eating is complex and still evolving.
In this webinar, you will learn how GLP-1 medications influence hunger, satiety, and meal patterns. You will also explore how these biological changes can intersect with restrictive eating behaviours and diagnosed eating disorders.
Importantly, this GLP-1 and eating disorders webinar provides practical, evidence-informed guidance. It outlines the role of health and fitness professionals in early identification, safe conversations, and appropriate referral pathways.
The session combines research summaries, clinical insights, and case examples. As a result, you will leave with knowledge you can apply immediately in your professional practice.
This webinar is designed for health and fitness professionals who want to better understand GLP-1 medications, reduce harm, and support clients with confidence and care.
