Date: Tuesday 7 July 2026
Time: 1:00 PM AEST
Presenter: Professor Stuart Biddle
Webinar Overview
Physical inactivity and prolonged sedentary behaviour are among the leading contributors to poor health outcomes worldwide. While many people understand the benefits of being active, creating lasting behaviour change remains a significant challenge.
Join Professor Stuart Biddle, one of the world's leading experts in physical activity, sedentary behaviour, and health, for an insightful webinar exploring the psychological principles that underpin movement behaviours and behaviour change.
Drawing on over 40 years of research and practical experience, Professor Biddle will share evidence-based strategies to help health and exercise professionals better understand why people move, why they remain sedentary, and how to apply psychological approaches that support long-term behaviour change.
Based on concepts explored in his latest applied textbook, How to Increase Physical Activity and Reduce Sedentary Behaviour: Applied Psychology in Motion, this webinar will provide practical tools and frameworks that professionals can use to support clients across a range of health, fitness, and community settings.
