Your Membership, Your Future, Your Way

The voluntary framework for registering professionals has evolved over time in response to increasing concerns about consumer protection, safety, and quality in the exercise, fitness and active health industry. Equally, the registration framework has also evolved to meet the varied needs of exercise and fitness professionals across different demographics.

In order to continue to meet those diverse needs and priorities of the professionals we serve, AUSactive is refining its registration framework to be more inclusive, flexible, and accessible, without compromising on our high-quality experience for members. In particular, we will be adopting a two tier model of registration which features:

  1. Accredited Professionalsdistinguished by their commitment to continuous professional development, these individuals are recognised for meeting a higher standard and will be granted enhanced access to exclusive tools, resources, benefits and eligible for private health fund insurance rebates.
  2. Registered Professionalshave completed the foundation education requirements for membership without the need for mandated continuous professional development.
