What is Affiliated Education
Advancing professional knowledge and skills
Affiliated Education refers to courses, programs or events that may not be currently approved by AUSactive, but have received approval/ accreditation by other credible organisations or associations referred to below (AUSactive may accept other organisations at its discretion). The majority of the program/event must contain education within the Scope of Practice for AUSactive Registered Professionals

How do AUSactive Professionals provide evidence of Affiliated Education?
To submit affiliated education please login to your dashboard and submit via your My CPD Diary. Please ensure to upload evidence of completion via a certificate of completion provided by the training provider.
What if my education provider is not listed?
AUSactive encourages all members to contact cpdsupport@ausactive.org.au to discuss their professional development journey and/or contact the education provider to discuss the potential of CPD approval with AUSactive.
How many CPDs can AUSactive Professionals attain through Affiliated Education?
1 CPD point per 2 hours education time (a minimum of 2 hours education is required).
Maximum CPD claimable over 2 years:
- Level 1 & 2 – 10 CPD points
- Level 3 – Maximum not applicable
This can be accumulated via multiple approved programs/events attended.
Can AUSactive Professionals claim Affiliated Education for their current registration term?
Yes, if an AUSactive Professionals has attended/completed a program/event at any stage within their current registration term they can attain CPDs for Affiliated Education as long as it meets the criteria and the appropriate documentation has been submitted.
How will completion of Affiliated Education be profiled for AUSactive?
Programs/events that may be acknowledged as Affiliated Education will not appear on the AUSactive CPD Directory nor will it appear in the public profile of an AUSactive Professional. Additionally, no Delivery Knowledge or Skill (DKS) area will be allocated.
