Join the AUSactive Board of Directors
The AUSactive Board plays a critical role in representing and supporting industry members.
It provides strategic leadership while ensuring the organisation operates within a framework of effective governance and risk management. In addition, the Board sets the vision, mission and values of AUSactive.
Importantly, the Board acts in the best interests of members, stakeholders and the wider community.
Responsibilities of the AUSactive Board
The Board has several key responsibilities. These include:
- Fulfilling fiduciary duties
- Managing and mitigating organisational risk
- Setting governance policies and program priorities
- Monitoring and assessing executive performance
As a result, the Board helps guide the long-term direction and success of AUSactive.
Who Should Apply?
AUSactive is seeking experienced and passionate members to join the Board.
You should be a current AUSactive member and demonstrate:
- Experience in the health sector
- Experience working as, or with, allied health providers
- Experience in policy development and advocacy
- Strong relationships with Federal and State government stakeholders

Available Positions
AUSactive is currently seeking:
- 1 x Business Member Director
- 2 x Professional Member Directors
Each successful candidate will serve a three-year term.
How to Apply
Are you a current AUSactive Member and have:
- Experience in the health sector
- Experience working as or with allied health providers
- Experience in developing policy and advocacy positions to shift political party and government policy, which will ideally include strong relationships with current Federal and State politicians
- Fulfill our aim for diversity and inclusion in our Board make up, including good practice board continuity, along with continued introduction of skills and gender diversity, cultural / ethnic background, geographic and all-abilities
AUSactive is seeking 1 x Business Member Director and 2 x Professional Member Directors. The Elected Directors will have a three-year term.
