AUSactive Strengthens Board Directors

AUSactive is excited to welcome Kimberley Anderson to its 2025 Board as a Professional Member Director after the recent Director Election. Kimberley’s appointment as a Non-Executive Director will see her mentored by returning directors Elaine Jobson and Jen Dugard.

With Kimberley’s expertise in exercise science and neuroscience for health management, alongside the continued leadership of Elaine and Jen, the Board is poised to drive innovative initiatives, raise industry standards and improve the health and wellbeing of Australians.

Kimberley Anderson is the founder of the Intelligent Physiq Training System which is designed to improve adult, elder and athlete body knowledge and responsibility, by normalising the sensations of balance, alignment and core-initiated activity. To help people stabilise, normalise and improve their health for the benefit of their wellbeing and that of their community and to mitigate physical pain, injury and falls.

AUSactive Chair Emmett Williams welcomed Kimberley to the Board and said her expertise across many facets of the fitness industry will be a great addition.

“AUSactive is intent on securing funding for a national consumer campaign to encourage movement and secure a formal link between our sector and health. Kimberley brings a unique combination of expertise that will support this including in assessment expertise, health management and strategic thinking,” Mr Williams said.

“Her appointment strengthens the Board’s capacity to improve and normalise health and wellbeing for all Australians”.

“I would also like to congratulate Elaine Jobson and Jen Dugard on retaining their positions and thank Ryan Hogan for his contributions over the past 3 years”.

Ryan brought a unique skill set that sat at the intersection of a deep understanding of fitness professionals, gym and studio operators and the supplier community. His nuanced perspective added real depth and value to board discussions.”

“The dedication of our volunteer Directors continues to advance the strategic direction of AUSactive and the broader industry. We look forward to working with our new Board to continue advocating for a healthier Australia.”

Kimberley’s professional expertise provides integrated, ethical health management to reduce the burden on the medical system, economic cost of sick days and to redirect the $2.7B loneliness industry to engaged fit and well Australians who connect well.

Kimberley said she was honoured to join the AUSactive board and looked forward to seeing people take better care of themselves, their loved ones and their communities.

“I am committed to helping realise AUSactive’s potential to normalise health and wellbeing and normalise the benefits of routine, connection and nutrition in establishing, developing and maintaining positive healthy attitudes to self and others through sport, exercise and physical activity,” Ms Anderson said.

“AUSactive has the potential to integrate services across aged care, corrective exercise, allied health and collaborations with Scouts, NDIS, Military, charities, Nutrition/Dietitian, Swim, Boxing peak bodies and other key organisations toward improved fitness standards, wellbeing boundaries (less sick days), bust nutrition myths, less (preventable) hospitalisation and to normalise health and healthy movement.”
