Free Family Obstacle Course Coming to Rockingham

AUSactive General Manager, Western Australia, Mike Beeney, said the event is about getting more Western Australians active in a fun and welcoming environment. “ActiveX is about giving Rockingham families a free, accessible way to get outside, be active and enjoy time together during the school holidays,” Mr Beeney said.

“Western Australia has incredible outdoor spaces, and this event makes the most of them by creating a community-focused experience that welcomes everyone, regardless of age or fitness level.” “By removing cost and participation barriers, ActiveX will help introduce many locals to new ways of being active and support healthier, more connected communities across the region.”

The event has been designed to be accessible for all abilities and will promote physical, mental and social benefits including improved strength, cardiovascular health, teamwork, confidence and mental wellbeing. AUSactive is working with RED DUST OCR, a Western Australian-based obstacle course event company, to deliver the event.

The initiative is supported by the Western Australian Government, the City of Rockingham, the Community Bootcamp Project, and a range of local community and health organisations.

Local health and fitness providers, community organisation and AUSactive members will be on site to engage with participants and showcase activity opportunities available in Rockingham and the surrounding area, supporting the local recreation and active health sector.
