Kilcoy Indoor Sport Centre and Gym reaffirms commitment to excellence with AUSactive Quality Business Accreditation

Kilcoy Indoor Sport Centre Maintains AUSactive Quality Business Accreditation

Kilcoy Indoor Sport Centre and Gym has once again maintained its AUSactive Quality Business Accreditation.

This achievement recognises its ongoing commitment to safety, inclusivity and high-quality fitness services.

A Strong Commitment to the Community

The accreditation highlights the centre’s dedication to supporting the Kilcoy community.

It also reflects a consistent focus on delivering safe and professional services across all programs.

A Personal and Professional Milestone

Managing Director Jayne McKenzie said the accreditation is both a business and personal achievement.

“I began my fitness journey in the 1970s in the UK,” Ms McKenzie said.

“At that time, there were no industry standards or formal qualifications.”

She explained how the industry has evolved.

“I’ve worked in the UK, Japan and Australia. Before organisations like AUSactive, there was limited support or accountability.”

As a result, accreditation has provided valuable guidance.

“When we first achieved accreditation, it confirmed that what we were doing truly mattered.”

From Humble Beginnings to a Community Hub

The centre has grown significantly over time.

It now operates two locations and delivers between 25 and 35 classes each week.

In addition, it has expanded beyond traditional fitness services.

Today, the centre offers:

  • Allied health services
  • Youth programs
  • Gymnastics
  • Workshops and seminars
  • Community fundraising events

Supporting Community Connection

The team is deeply involved in the local community.

“We live and breathe our community,” Ms McKenzie said.

“We support local events, including parkruns, cancer walks and school programs.”

As a result, the centre has become more than a gym.

It is a key part of the town’s social connection.

Recognition from AUSactive

AUSactive CEO Barrie Elvish congratulated the team.

“Maintaining accreditation requires ongoing commitment to safety and best practice,” Mr Elvish said.

“Jayne and her team consistently go above and beyond for their members and community.”

Delivering Real Impact

The centre has made a strong impact in Kilcoy.

Local access to allied health services has improved significantly.

These services now include:

  • Physiotherapy
  • Exercise physiology
  • Chiropractic care

A Community-First Approach

Ms McKenzie said the centre focuses on listening to its members.

“In a rural town, people notice when you take action,” she said.

“Our members are more than clients. They are part of our community.”
