Trans-Tasman portability now easier for members

It’s now even easier for registered exercise professionals and exercise industry association members from Australia and New Zealand to transfer their remaining registration between countries thanks to a new agreement between AUSactive and NZ REPS.

The new registration benefit gives registered exercise professionals who move “across the ditch” the opportunity to transfer the remaining term of their current AUSactive or NZ REPS membership.

AUSactive CEO Barrie Elvish said the new registration benefit between both industry associations ensured exercise professional could continue to take full advantage of their membership even if they relocate.

“We know a lot of people move between Australia and New Zealand and from an exercise industry perspective our industries are very complementary to each other,” Mr Elvish said.

“This new benefit between AUSactive and NZ REPS means members can continue to take full advantage of member benefits and support for the full term of their current memberships in either country.

“Making it easier for our members to connect with the industry and receive support when starting a new job in New Zealand is important, it can mean the all the difference when finding your feet at a new job.”

NZ REPS Registrar Stephen Gacsal said the launch of the new benefit provided peace of mind to members, both financially and professionally.

“Connecting with other people in your industry can often be a hurdle when moving countries. This Trans-Tasman membership portability means members can jump right into networking and other industry events runs by either AUSactive or NZ REPS,” Mr Gacsal said.

“The great news is that any member considering moving countries has the peace of mind their full current period of registration can be 100% utilised and recognised.”
