Entry Requirements
- You hold eligible AUSactive Approved Yoga Instructor Course from the list of pathways below.
- You have a Nationally Accredited and current CPR and First Aid certificate
- CPR (HLTAID009) completed in past 12 months
- First Aid (HLTAID011) completed in past 3 years.
- If your qualification was completed more than 2 years ago, evidence of 20 CECs completed within the last 2 years is required.

Yoga Instructor Levels
Provisional and Level 1 Entry Pathways
Pathway 1
Completion of an AUSactive approved course found below. These courses meet the foundation AUSactive Yoga Instructor Education Criteria.

- Submission of a Yoga Australia or Yoga Alliance approved teacher training certificate.
- Evidence of a minimum of 10 hours of practicum*
- A letter of endorsement**
- Submission of Certificate of completion of a Yoga Teacher/instructor Training course.
- Evidence of a current or recent yoga body registration.
- Evidence of a minimum of 10 hours of practicum*
- A letter of endorsement**
*Evidence of a minimum of 10 hours of practicum delivering or teaching in-person yoga classes under the supervision of an appropriately qualified and registered mentor (e.g. signed mentorship agreement and practicum log).
**A letter of endorsement that verifies your delivery, knowledge and skills from a qualified and registered yoga instructor/ teacher.
200-hour – Provisional
Completion of a course from the table below will allow registration as a Yoga Instructor.

Level 2 and 3 Entry Pathways
When applying for Level 2 or 3 please ensure you have the appropriate education and supporting evidence.
All three peices of Supporting Evidence are required
500-Hour – Level 2
Education Evidence
- Submission of a AUSactive approved 500-Hour teacher training certificate
- Submission of a 500-hour Yoga Australia or Yoga Alliance approved teacher training certificate
Supporting Evidence required
Submit evidence of a minimum of 5-years and 500 hours teaching via the following;- A current resume indicating the required teaching experience;
- A letter of endorsement from your employer or a recent employer verifying your hours of experience teaching;
- A statutory declaration stating that you have at least 5-years personal practice, a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience with at least 500 hours of teaching experience
1000-Hour – Level 3
Education Evidence
- Submission of a AUSactive approved 1000-Hour teacher training certificate
- Submission of a 1000-hour Yoga Australia or Yoga Alliance approved teacher training certificate;
Supporting Evidence required
Submit evidence of a minimum of 10 years+ and 1000 hours teaching via the following;- A current resume indicating the required teaching experience;
- A letter of endorsement from your employer or a recent employer verifying your hours of experience teaching;
- A statutory declaration stating that you have greater than 10-years personal practice, 10 years of teaching experience and 1000 hours of teaching experience
