Health and fitness organisations focused on prioritising their members and staff have been recognised in the annual 10 THOUSAND FEET Awards at the AUSactive National Awards Gala last week with winners crowned across Member Love and Employer of Choice categories.
10 THOUSAND FEET Founder and Head of Intelligence Ian Krawitz said the two categories were about recognising outstanding fitness brand and organisations that go above and beyond for their members and staff.
“We are thrilled to announce the 2023 10 THOUSAND FEET award winners across two categories – Member Love Award and Employer of Choice Award. In each category there were three subcategories based on the type and size of the business,” Mr Krawitz said.
“Congratulations to all the winners! The high standards set by this year’s finalists and winners was impressive. It shows businesses as well as business leaders and management understand the importance of engaging with their members and their staff as they strive for success.”

The 10 THOUSAND FEET Member Love Award automatically aggregates 75,000 Google reviews for fitness brands with 10+ locations.
10 THOUSAND FEET crowned a winner based on member engagement from brands that are entered by AUSactive in one of three categories: Personal/Group Training, Small Footprint – Low Staff 24/7 and Big Box Gym.

10 THOUSAND FEET Employer of Choice Award
The 10 THOUSAND FEET Employer of Choice Award is based on employee engagement surveys. Three awards include multi-location brands and individual clubs as well as a Council Facility or Leisure Centre.
