AUSactive has been successfully recognised by Sport and Recreation Victoria as a State Sport and Active Recreation Body (SSARB) for the exercise and active health industry in Victoria.
As a SSARB (Peak Recreation Body), Sport and Recreation Victoria will partner with AUSactive to deliver active recreation outcomes for Victorians.
Under our status as a SSARB, AUSactive will be eligible to apply for Victorian Government funding programs that are available for recognised organisations, we will be provided with the opportunity to participate in networking, workshops, and professional development activities and we will be invited to participate in sector consultation activities conducted by Sport and Recreation Victoria.
As a recognised peak body, AUSactive is committed to being active within the Victorian sport and recreation sector and is committed to working with the Victorian Government to achieve policy outcomes. We will continue to make a significant contribution to the exercise and active health sector, by delivering opportunities for Victorians to participate in safe inclusive environments.
With strong connections to the Victorian recreation sector, AUSactive will have added credibility when working with the variety of stakeholders associated with our industry – including government, academia, schools, businesses, and most important our current and future AUSactive members across the state.
Through our partnerships and our advocacy, we will continue to advance the profession of exercise and physical activity in Victoria, and support the broader community in the pursuit of life-long physical activity, good health and wellbeing.
