The Australian health and fitness industry was a standout performer at FIT Summit’s 2023 Awards of Excellence, held in Singapore last week as part of The World Health, Fitness & Wellness Festival.
AUSactive Business member OnePlayground was crowned Boutique of the Year, while Diana Williams, Founder & CEO of Fernwood Fitness was presented the John Holsinger Lifetime Achievement Award and VIVA Leisure was awarded Fitness / Wellness Company of the Year.
AUSactive CEO Barrie Elvish who attended both events said it was fantastic recognition and showcased the strength of the Australians industry on the world stage.
“Congratulations to Justin Ashley from OnePlayground and Diana Williams from Fernwood Fitness, the passion and dedication they have both shown in delivering a high level of service excellence in our industry while also continuing to push the boundaries of what health, fitness & wellness means to an individual is outstanding,” Mr Elvish said.
“Other notable winners included VIVA Leisure who were awarded Fitness / Wellness Company of the Year, while AUSactive Board member Edwina Griffith was a finalised in the Technology Company of the Year category for her tech focused AtOne.”
Mr Elvish said the Awards of Excellence were held as part of the World Health, Fitness & Wellness Festival – an event that was attended by more than 3,000 business owners, managers, professionals from 75 countries.
“The World Health, Fitness & Wellness Festival was an outstanding event, and it was fantastic to be part of the action in Singapore representing the Australian health and fitness industry,” Mr Elvish said.
“Having so many industry professionals, business owners and leaders together to share knowledge and new concepts for the future was a very valuable experience.”
